Kaytee this is ironic as we speak I'm on a heart monitor. My father had a heart attack last night he's in another state. The sirens and blue lights were here 3 days ago. My please don't say you're sorry I'm kind of used to it. It's all just another day. I don't mind.

thanks so much. I’m having a good long weekend. I went to see Duran Duran last night and was pleasantly surprised by the opener Niles Rodgers and Chic. I think you would have loved the 70’s groove music. I hope you have a good weekend too.

I was never much a big Duran fan, but they weren't bad at all. Niles is a legend. Love his dance music. Little secret you didn't know about me - 1980s I got into the club scene and became a pretty good dancer. I won a contest at a club on Hampton Beach in New Hampshire with a friend of a friend. We were supposed to go back at the end of the summer for a contest between all the finalists, but we never did. Sort of wished I had but the girl I partnered with was not someone I knew well, so we never went back. I hope I didn't already tell you that boring story. LoL I was no actual dancer but had good moves probably because I played drums for 20 years and could keep a good beat. God, I miss those days. Now you got me singing Good Times. The 70s was probably my favorite decades along with the 80s when I was really into drumming. Sad how quickly life passes by isn't it. My brother Norm went to see Styx, Loverboy and REO Speedwagon earlier this year. Said it was great. I haven't been to a concert in ages.

And just so you know (gonna brag now)- I was like an idiot savant with music growing up. I know the lyrics to probably a thousand songs, as well as the drums to nearly as many. My brother was always marveling at how I could pick up drums part to a tee by simply listening to records. I was obsessed with many genres. I love everything from Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, Journey, Aerosmith to John Denver, Glen Campbell, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, Celine Dion, Taylor Dayne, Shannon, etc. I loved old Motown music growing up - bands like the Chi-Lites, Temptations, etc. Elvis Presley's Greatest Hits was my first ever album purchase and Kiss Destroyer was my second. Talk about diversity, eh? LoL Anyway, sorry to ramble. Have a great night.

wow, who knew you had so much talent. Drumming is so impressive. I hope you have video of that dance contest. Please tell me it’s recorded, lol. I have eclectic music tastes too. I listen to heavy metal when I run because if I listen to hip hop I dance and fall off the treadmill. I love 70s music too and 90s alternative. It depends on the my mood. Enjoy the rest of your day/night off.
Oh, and what happened to that friendship poem you posted it earlier? I saw part of it but when I went back it I couldn’t find it.

I posted that poem to see how it looked visually on the site, then deleted. I'll repost either next weekend or sometime soon after. I don't like posting poems back-to-back on here. It's a bit too much, and as it stands you can hardly get people to read your works as it is, never mind having to read one right after another.

No video of me dancing, but here is the closest one I could find to how I danced. ;-) https://youtube.com/shorts/WKP8ekyawF8?feature=share
