Teddi, now that is a unique name ! The masters of old used 16 to 24 lines to get their thoughts thru, I use 24 lines in my poems normally, sometimes 28 or 32 ! Checkout the poet laurates of old like .A Kilmer - The Tree, A Tennyson - The Bar and Robert Frost - The Road Not Taken ! Happy poeming !

Any Bible scholars out there ?
For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face ;now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
    1 Cor 13: 12.
One of greatest poets ever was Alfred Lord Tennyson and he wrote " The Bar "
Check it out - an era of poetry not seen today or ever !

Don't know if I am actually a Bible scholar, but I did translate the Bible from Hebrew and Greek into rhymed English verse once upon a time. (Aramaic portions I had to depend mostly on other translations.) I am now on the last stretch of doing the same thing in an Iroquoian dialect.

While putting it into rhymed verse did not distort the text nearly as much as might be predicted, and the result is certainly closer to the Hebrew and Greek texts than many modern versions using "dynamic" translation methods, a translation by a single person is inevitably going to show individual bias. I am not immune to that. But I believe that God does protect His Word.
