find I can't part with the words easily

Romeo, Juliet never met death
in the arms of the other, was friendship
held them to...

Butterflies life span

Tonight resist advances, beer talking
prefer to focus on impressions made
open window, a lost butterfly flew
in as the light outside, begun to fade

battle of wills, I drunkenly pursue
Eventually through bathroom window
silently escapes backs...

Balance

Rub out jagged edges with co codamol

It only muddies this holy water
Stack like wood, reasons to live, for later
I only...

Moonlight comfort

Lost parasocial love to engagement
Insincerity thought was flattery
Masking these tired mistakes in the present
need to recharge my social battery

Feel myself no more than a data point
Invisible lines that criss cross the sky
I know it was...

I felt the poem was full of vibrant images and sensations. This allowed me to feel involved and the general message is one I could vibe with, we all want to escape poverty. Wisdom and prompts in the lines to evoke thought and had a satisfying ending so it gets my vote

Oh I know that addiction is hard cycle to break, so try to find new hobbies and interests first to give you outside focus. Remember cold turkey doesn't work for most people. Meditation to find the source of the problem and then attempt to resolve it, this all takes time but small steps will still have you arriving at the place you need to be eventually good luck breaking free

This was brilliant poem, took me right there, and many great images and the feeling that the poet just wants one last winter with the lost heart before it all ends is just a great theme and it's a great poem

I like this one very much as it tells a story in a very short time, and also gives glimpses into the character the writer inhabits

Wendy not being fussy but the line 'I give your wisdom and knowledge' works better when I read it aloud as 'I give you wisdom and knowledge' sounds better good poem though sorry to be a pain
