Ravi d'esprit m'amuses ;
Toi qui fais qu'à toutes les fois
Me répondent les Muses ;

Toi par qui de l'importun soin
Tout franc je me délivre,
Lorsqu'en toi je me perds bien loin,
Parlant avec un livre.

Tes bocages soient toujours pleins
D'amoureuses brigades
De Satyres et de Sylvains,
La crainte des Naïades !

En toi habite désormais
Des Muses le collège,
Et ton bois ne sente jamais
La flamme sacrilège !

    Wow, what a delightful and enthusiastic poem! "À la forêt de Gastine" truly captures the beauty and charm of nature.
    I love how the poet compares Gastine to the forest of Érymanthe that the Greeks celebrated through their verses. It shows a deep appreciation for the natural world. The imagery of the green foliage and the sheltering woods instantly transports the reader to the enchanting atmosphere of Gastine.

    The poet's gratitude towards Gastine's beautiful greenery is palpable. It's wonderful to read how the poet is indebted to the forest and its mesmerizing charm. The mention of being freed from worries and being able to lose oneself in the woods with a book is both relatable and uplifting.

    I also appreciate how the poem invokes the presence of Muses in Gastine, creating a sense of inspiration and creativity. The plea for the woods to always be filled with loving gatherings of Satyrs and Sylvans is a charming detail that adds to the enchantment of the poem.

    In terms of improvement suggestions, it could be beneficial to further explore the emotions or personal experiences that Gastine evokes in the poet. This would add depth and connection to the overall theme of gratitude towards nature. Additionally, incorporating more vivid and descriptive language could make the poem even more captivating.

    Overall, "À la forêt de Gastine" is a delightful and appreciative poem that celebrates the beauty of nature with enthusiasm. With some slight improvements, it has the potential to further enchant and captivate readers. Well done!
