Feed Me, Lord

Oh, loving Father,
forgive my foolish pride,
I think, alone that I can I strive
with evil forces on my side.

Your holy Name!
It feels my heart with quiet joy,
in awe I bend my knee and cry
to You, Redeemer of my soul.

Dawn of a New Life

Precious moments-- love and peace,
blossom's sweet odor in the summer breeze,
In God's beauty we smile, rejoice
His wondrous offers in plentiful choice.

One Friday

Momentous hour!
Sun darkened, rocks split apart,
the Earth, as if in wrath, quaked,
 convulsed, stones-- fire spat.

Golden Age

We come to time of golden age,
no, no that of sixty or any other number,
but age when selfless love and kindness
start winning over pride and arrogance.

John 17:3

My hunger never ends
for knowing more of Him,
did not the Savior pray
the night he was betrayed,
for all who come
-- by truth-- be set apart?
Then, may His Word ignite
refiner's fire in my heart.
Ablaze, the Spirit molds
eternal life unfolds.

Solitude

Intense and perplexed,
my struggles I face,
in pain but amazed
to learn patience' pace.

How lonely they seem
those days of suspense,
nights pass in a dream

Eyes and expectations

Emotions Belong To Us

Yes, I understand,
or do I truly so--
the mysteries if inner man,
the depths of human soul?

For I am earthborn and, indeed,
my flesh is may of clay
my insight, tiny as a seed
dispersed the Milky Way.

Simple Love

Simple and true is
my love, Lord, for you,
You keep me in pace,

Lover of my soul,
You are all I long for.

Autumn

The shorter days of Fall,
the harvest reaped,
the walk upon the golden carpet
of falling and decaying leaves,
the half-bare darkened leaves
reminded me
that quietude and letting go
of wishes and unfruitful dreams
will gather and unfold-- in seas...

Truth's Lessons

Harsh words poison, wound,
pride is thoughtless, self-designed
boastful, cruel, loud,
spitefully-- to point its sling,
viciously-- to aim its sting.

Transformation

Who can know the price of growth?
Spirit, taking full control,
slowly, heartaches, shame and pain,
flushed like dirt down the drain.

Forgiveness

How difficult forgiveness
seemed to come, at last.
The burden and the lonely cage
of what I self-imposed and dragged
was ugly, and in rage.

Man Walks

Truth's freedom to live is a choice man makes,
to walk on the less trodden path
thorny and steep, he climbs in the wild,
he takes one step at a time,
less he loses his sight.

Settled In Heaven

God's Word is all I desire,
His Word stirs, compels, even when I tire
quick and immediate, palpable, living,
it cuts, exposes, reveals, lifts thought higher.

As In Heaven, So On Earth

I know the inner you,
serene, wholesome, grand,
the essence of the real man,
a place of glowing flame.

That flame is not extinguished
by loneliness or grief,
it shelters flickers on the way,
midst hurricanes.

Day's New Start

Loving comes not easy,
but to open, seeking heart
music, harmony and feeling
start to beat, infilling void and wild.

Leave not, nor step aside,
let the winds of Spirit
blow the mist or break apart
bitterness, resentment, strife.

The Lord Made It All

Mist lifts from below in pink and blue vapor,
winds whisper and blow,
clouds linger, then scatter.

As if dancing in practice, hues mingle and stall,
it's not the work of an artist,
the Lord made it all.

New Man

"Let there be light",
All-mighty God said,
day separated from night,
sun, moon, stars He made.

Jesus, the true light came,
to shine in man's heart,
to all who believed on his name,
he gave a new start.

Healing Grace

Gloom, doubt, fear, stalked in

tried to squeeze into my inner place,
silence I embrace.

No, I cannot be robbed of what I own,
then came the call,

Poems, like birds, on divine wings they fly,
fragile, like birds, they sing,
and with darkness retire.
But the song that highest flies,
is the song I love the most--
soaring on wings of love,
sings the Christ, in pure light divine.

Touched by Eternity

Man stood in the valley and grieved
for the friend he never had,
for mother and father--
not present in heart.
Disguised as a loner,
he raged and rebelled inside.
He came to God broken,
scarred with emotional blight,
searching for light!

New Day

Still, velvet morning,
purple dawn, blue silhouettes,
flutter wings, rustle leaves,
night spell is gone.

Indivisible

so, let Truth speak
to inner man,
infilling void with light of Mind.
Across the wilderness of carnal senses
roam greed, fear, wrath,
violence, confusion--
cruel killers of the heart.

Prayer

Against storm, gale, frost,
like goats on stone-tumbling cliff,
prayer climbs, holds, grips.

Inner Voices

Fragile is human life,
like grass, full of sap today, tomorrow withered,
like vase, pushed by angry hand,
its broken pieces cut through petals, stems.
What beautified with tender hue and fragrance,
now, a debris at the feet of violence.

Pillars

Pillars, beams of light,
circling the crippled and blind--
restoring mind, sight.

That Amazing Grace

Through longing nights and sunless days,
I've waited, wept and prayed
for answers to my burdened ways.

Psalm 119:89

Forever God's law of good
upholds, protects and heals.
Sole is the rock of Truth
that breaks asunder ills.

Cycles

Along the roads, wide or less travelled,
the wheel of motion falters not.
It's not a wheel of destiny or fate--
Infinity holds not such notion.
Eternal being-- now-- is real and sublime,
and when the Spirit's radiance illumines mind,
ear tunes to ...

The Seeker

Man wished he could know
who could ever love him so,
that turmoil be set at peace,
that old hurt be given release.

He wished he could hear
harmony's tune in his ear,
tender hand to wipe tears away,
loving voice to invite him to stay.

The Great Physician

"Come, fatherless child,
take refuge and pause,
let your wanderings
find refuge in Love's arms.

"Come, woman abandoned,
dig deeper inside,
lay anger, pain, sadness
at the cross-- where I died.

A Voice

Deep within
vibration ripples,
as if on a silver line,
connecting me to the One,
Who, to the five senses roars,
but to the spirit inside
gently whispers,
"Be not afraid,
you are Mine."

Forgiveness

How difficult forgiveness
seemed to come, at last.
The burden and the lonely cage
of what I self-imposed and dragged
was ugly, and in rage.
And, years of reflection, hence,
did nothing to uplift
that burden, carried long, in pain,
till God's gra...

Change of Heart

Slave trader at sea.
Storm. Mercy invades his heart.
The blind receives sight.

Embraced

Love is patient, kind,
heart-- a lonely hunter--
knows not when She comes.
Clothed in comfort, might,
in a whisper, heaven heard,
She illumines sight.
Then does man perceive and follow
vision-- far above earthbound gains--
Whole and safe in Love'...

Ocean View

I looked from the cliff,
down the foaming waves,
the ominous clouds--
in slow and threatening pace.
The beach-- abandoned, wet, dreary,
no seagulls in sight, nor sandpipers busy,
just winds, unleashed
and fiercely moaning,
as if nature was angry ...

Divine Compassion

And Jesus wept,
compassion welling from within his heart.
He faced the tomb, his love enfolding
the sisters, Lazarus, the crowd.

Love Alone

Love alone can penetrate
the wall of condemnation,
built by self, without foundation.
Be alert, stumble not,
in shadowy paths,
but look up and feel
Spirit's breeze, Love's caress,
She comforts her own
and gives freedom to the waiting soul.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my Shepherd,
He keeps me secure and safe.
His waters,
infilling void and sorrow
 with Spirit and Life,
renewing the now and the morrow.

In His Image

He plunged beneath the surface,
His perfect sight revealed
what human veil concealed.
He spoke commanding
the blind to see, the lame to walk,
the spiritually deaf to hear.
And, I who rejected once his power,
received it in my needy hour.
