A real celebration and forward event in 1973. Swans officiating and slowly nodding assent.

I remember another one that addressed bureaucracy in Ants. Brilliant irony. On our honeymoon 1974, we were in Vermont. Morgan horses. Colourful autumn. Friendly people. The old haunts of Robert Frost. And us…Doug Blair

Treatments sometimes are just plain robbery of self and wit and energy and hope. In the field of mental health. Tools of assessment are still inadequate. Like a chimpanzee using a twig as a prod for tasty termites in their hole. Chin up Brother. Mental illness has come to my family as well. Day at a time..Doug Blair.

Your analysis studies one’s self searching as if the Initiator of a marked transformation. No, God chooses, woos, draws, fascinates, convicts of sin. The process by His initiation results in repentance unto life. Acts chapter 11. Verses 17 and 18. Sounds as if I am on the Reformist side, doesn’t. Nope I follow the Holiness side as did John Wesley, horse riding Evangelist. Consult the very last verses of James chapter five. There is a terrible point at which one is capable of rebelling his salvation away. Watch out. Pray often. Recognize your tenuous ride. Trust in the Blood and the indwelling Spirit.

As if to say God revokes promises. Makes mistakes and has to resort to a Plan B or Plan C. Balderdash. Jews are not being replaced in God’s partiality with a strange Race. At the end of Galations we read that the true Israel of God encompasses Jew and Gentile, bond and free. The process has been a brilliant refining. Not a replacing…Doug Blair.

That controversial chapter of being baptized in the Holy Ghost with initial evidence of speaking in other tongues. As a logical person and a professional I fought the invitation. Imagine that, my intellectual pride sought to smother the uprising of something wonderful from my innermost belly. Well, one summer night I ventured a responding. And in a flash I knew that I had a couple of words that were not my own. Followed by what seemed to be a couple of strange sentences. I exercised the responses in following weeks, Nothing hysterical or imitative. I had it as per the promises and nineteen. I was convinced that there had been growth in praise, holy intimacy and prayer effectiveness. It was a quiet orderly thing of yielding the wind and tongue. Spirit gave the words. Jesus got the Glory.

Love is the mystical energizer for any of this joyful exchange to be brought to pass, sustained, received in the right Spirit. Read Galatians chapter five.

I know that only Bible word imparts Life. No other literature, even the classics. BUT be sparse with the direct references, the quotes, one after the other.
The New Testament is written for the believers, in the epistles. But the uninitiated need to hear from your heart, your type of words, your overflowing hope and joy. Perhaps then and only then, a direct passage or two. If we over-do it the listener starts to doubt our words, our assurance, seeming somewhat desperate in the giving.

A lover, a father, a champion and protector. Such is Love…and love is God. Read again John’s first Letter. Love NOT the World. I have tapped you Mark as a favourite. Is it bold, risky, dangerous to be overtly Christ loving in poems. Nah, nah…it is the obvious response of a purchased happy hopeful child of the King. Joint heir with Jesus as we travel this Sod.

Beautiful, promising life in the unborn. You hit the nail right on. And scripture reference is life begetting. Consider also psalm 22 and luke 1 with Elizabeth’s baby leaping inside her.
