Lost

As I sit and gaze at the setting sun
I can still see your silhouette
but as beautiful as the site mat be
to you it compares  to none

I sit outside at nite and
stare at the stars above
I see the twinkle so brightly
as did the eyes of my love

But as I lay my tired soul
down to rest
I look and see that what is
gone, certainly was the best

As the days pass with such speed
one running into the other
every moment that endure
is filled with my friend, my lover

Tho you may not be near, or
close to have and to hold
for my life sheared with you
my heart you did mold

But with all the tears and hurt
that I may have from the past
I know and feel one thing
my love for you shall last.
