The Moment

As I sit and ponder
all that it would be
to hold you close

I feel my heart beat again
my eyes brighten just a bit
and a smile caresses my face

to look deep within your soul
thru the mirror of your eyes
and feel your inner most thoughts

to run my hand thru your flowing hair
and caress your face with my palm
the heart beats faster, and one with yours

till that moment of moments
the final inescapable movement
that brings us face to face

as two lips barely touch each other
slowly caressing the other
in passion, in love

if only reality exists
other than in my mind
life would have meaning again
