From Nature’s Palette

Enchanted by seasons, such magic they hold.
Adorned are the scenes that changes unfold.
In heart of each season, where beauty discerns
for Nature’s an artist, as calendar turns.

Butterfly wishes arrive in the Spring,
as birds end their silence, new melodies sing.
Flowers awaken from wintery naps.
A prelude to Summer, springtime unwraps.

Moonlight embraces a summer romance
and sun rays reflect, as on oceans they dance.
Blue skies embellished with birds as they fly.
Stars are like flashlights that twinkle in sky.

Picturesque landscapes are painted with leaves,
for Autumn brings color, while Summer now grieves.
Breeze starts to cool as it battles with sun.
Fall then makes exit, its artwork is done.

Lastly, harsh Winter possesses the land
as Nature sends snowflakes, sculpted by hand.
And icicles glisten, frigid winds call.
Enchanted by seasons, from Winter to Fall.

Gisela Vigil

Thank you for welcoming me to this community. I was born in Cuba but emigrated with my family to the US when I was three. I am mother to three young adults now, and also a grandmother. I’ve been writing for years, some I share, others I still keep in my personal file. I often write of struggles for we all face them as we journey through life. But still, I feel peace knowing I try my best. Feel blessed to have been given the gift of writing which I strive to improve cause there’s always room for growth. more…
