Analysis of Singing poetry
I’m tryina find my way out of the mick/ muck and mud. Trust me God, this ain’t very fun. Left in fear, and I’m left in tears. This kinda fear, it loves to sear. It loves to sear it’s name on my heart. It was branded right from the start. It goes over and over until I fall. How much longer til they listen to my call. I try my best just to give my all. But the wind rushes through like I’m wearing a shawl. Sometimes it hurts to walk, so I crawl. Their words cut through me, and they like to maul. But they never see me at all.
I’ve tried to stay with sticks and stones. Because anything is better than being dethroned. I’d rather live with my broken bones. Than to be treated with that tone. I think I’d rather lose my phone. Than be stuck with you locked out my home.
The darkness loves me and it’s all I have. The stars to scatter sky with my twisted hands. Twisted from holding on too hard. Jesus, he saved me from my cuts and scars. But what hurts most are the cuts unseen. The scars made by those so mean. Sure the outside might look clean. But flowing inside is a glowing stream. A glowin stream tainted with his love. His truth in ink, it will never smudge.
