Just That Kind of Cheer
Just That Kind of Cheer
Pick and choose
I’ve got everything to lose
Leaving for the real world
But when I see you I still hurt
Just so you know I’m thinkin
Just so you know I’m hurtin
Do I expect too much
Yes, but I have a hunch
That I am so needy
That I can’t help but be clingy
One day in my hour of need
I know I said I need distance, but I just want to flee
I feel like I’m falling apart worse than before
Fuse is getting shorter and I know because I’ve done this before
But I can’t lose what matters to my heart
But when I see this distance, it pulls us apart
In my quiet hours when I’m alone
I just want to talk to you over the phone
But then again I know you are struggling with your friend
So why does it seem to me like the beginning of the end
Whatever it is, I think you need me
But it hurts too deep because so does Madi
And as much as it hurts me to pick and choose
This bond I have with you I cannot bear to lose
I confide in you and you understand
But then again, on the other hand
Madi she listens and even though she may not see
She is always there for a hug and for me
I hate to pick and choose
I hate to find the clues
I hate to compare
Who means more, it’s not fair
To put two against each other
It just isn’t right
Maybe that’s why is just so hard to fight
These battle I grapple in the bleak dark night
It’s like I’m being split in two
Over the thought of me and you
