I’ve been writing poetry for three years now and my writing has grown. I’m proud of my works and my goal in life is to become an author somehow and that my poetry might touch the hearts of those who read it. That the reader may feel and know they are not alone, that they are seen and that there is hope. I also hope that my poems about God can touch the heart strings of others and allow them to see the raw emotion that comes hand in hand with faith. Through my greatest highs and lowest of lows, through my poems about the exhausting in-between, I hope people can see more than what is on the surface of life.

I can relate to this very well! I have a lot of unfinished poems that I will stumble across and sometimes I’m not satisfied with them. I’ve come to the point where I let them be and I think it’s true, our lives aren’t finished yet.
