Hi I have sent in 5 "good "poems now and have only won a mug so far, none of the poems being placed.The last poem only got 46 views out of 150 entrants.I'm from the UK....??

This poem is about a sad , old piano, which has been abandoned, outside to the elements.It is full of pathos and the imagery, is one of neglect and decadence.Yet, it still can muster a soulful sad tune, from it's keys.I found this poem a bit unusual, and being musical myself, I identified with it.I couldn't help feeling sorry for the piano!

This poem reaches the soul, and tells a story which is full of pathos.It rhymes well and has a good meter, good advice for those spiritually inclined...or otherwise.It is my worthy winner.

I am deeply appreciative.Yes, homelessness, and rough sleepers are a big problem everywhere you go and I cannot help, feel sorry for these folk, who have feelings and needs too.My poem tried to convey this message. We in UK, have this problem and winter is the time, us folk, feel their desperation, especially at Christmas. I usually try and help, if I see anyone begging on the pavements. Hi my poem "Cowboy tales" has the initials "CT ", underneath, instead of "LS".How can I change this please?

I chose this poem, because it is about how important flowers are, for any occasion and how words are not needed- the flowers convey the words, by the giving.I too ,am a big lover of flowers, any sort, but there is nothing better then receiving, a beautiful bunch, from someone who cares...

"The tree house" and "The witch of Aberdeen" are my two favourites. But if I had to pick an overall winner, it would be The tree house. It brought tears to my eyes and is so sad.... it is a story that can really happen in true life. Good rhyme and floe to the poem and conjures up sentiment. Well written too. more »
