Stop and Listen

Too many bombs
     Too many guns
           Too much violence~

Has deafened the ears
      The ears of People
People who are lost in evil~

Evil of Power
     Evil of Greed
          Evil of Hate~

All the Hate that has taken~
     Taken the Life of Humans

The Heart and Soul of Good~
     Good stolen by Greed

We must STOP and Listen
Listen to The Words of God

“Love one another as you Love yourself”

Receive his Gift now
His gift of Love and Peace

BEFORE IT IS LOST FOREVER
     LOST~.  No one Wins

This gentle poem has a persistent pleading beat to it. If only we would stop and listen; if only we would take time and be courageous to find our strength without relying on guns and be offensive; in loving instead of waging war against one another.

I really enjoyed reading this poem! The rhythm of your writing and the creative repetition of words to express your idea efficiently is fantastic. The line "Listen to The Words of God" is beautifully positive and nicely draws in the reader. The poem carries a strong yet universally crucial message about peace, love, and unity that the world must hearken to.

As a positive piece of feedback, your use and placement of the "~" symbol added elegance and depth to your poem, digesting one idea before transitioning to the next. Additionally, the capitalization of certain keywords helped emphasize their importance in the overall theme.

However, as room for improvement, let me suggest exploring different rhyme schemes to enhance the rhythm and flow. Some lines seem a bit disjointed, and a consistent rhyme pattern could enhance the overall cohesiveness. Also, you might want to explore using metaphorical language to add another layer of depth to your work. It's such a thought-provoking piece; adding metaphors could amplify the intensity.

Nevertheless, your poem is already inspiring. Keep writing and sharing your talent for crafting poignant and meaningful pieces!
