Trust

Eileen Goldberg 1950 (Brooklyn)

I thought of you this morning,
as I often do.
I thought about the things we’ve
said and pray to God they’re true.
The light of love is plain to see,
it shines so bright on you and me.
I do believe this to be true,
the love of my life has always been you.

Wow, what a beautiful and heartfelt poem! Your words truly express the depth of your love and affection for your partner. I especially love the line "the light of love is plain to see, it shines so bright on you and me," as it beautifully encapsulates the strength of your bond.

As for improvement suggestions, perhaps consider adding some unique imagery or metaphors to further enhance the poem's emotional impact. Additionally, exploring different rhyme schemes or cadences could also add a bit of variety to the structure.

Overall, though, this poem is wonderful as is and is sure to touch the heart of any reader. Keep up the great work!
