A note to forgiveness

You are hard to give, forgiveness
Where are you hiding when many need you?
Why do brothers forget to bother about others when you are absent?
You are welcome to reside in the hearts of all mankind but your absence fuels wars

Why do you let rage take your place when you are needed most?
Hearts get wounded yet you are the medicine to heal and bandage them within
Those who find you admit that you are a treasure
Precious and tidy you are, rugged and untidy hearts become without you

Like the flowers wither off the trees in autumn when you are away
When you arrive the souls of humans’ bloom and blossom like the trees in spring

Your absence is felt like a sting of a scorpion, into oblivion many fall without you
You are a healer forgiveness not of wounds on the body but those on the heart

Live among us for all time and never depart
Your identity can never be mistaken; we all need you even if we can never admit it.
