Shepherd

String me but never strangle me.
Lighten me up for a lift.
Play me like a harp.
Strum me gently and neigh for wonder.
My strings hold sound for a measure.
My ears are lightened like the ears of an elephant for flicker.

Am I a stranger to my own?
Left alone and forgotten.
A musician without an audience.
My ordinance is worthy of a master.
I foam like spume as I tune a tone.
My water litters for a drink my sheep spill.

Come hither so I will not shiver.
Thy wool is warm as I hold you in my hands.
My bosom gently warms up like a mother’s hug.
Let me sing you a song as I forget my tears.
The weather never matters; rain or sunshine, I hold you dear.

I will never leave you.
My heart is with you forever.
You are my vase of flowers that bloom in summer.
Sunshine lights my face with smiles when I am with you.

The length of a day and night apart.
I shall never let myself depart.
My treasure you are.
My hair you lick.

My lips you entangle as I sing you a song.
My feet you massage.
You are mine.
Mine for all time.
