The Corona Baroness
Take me away
Hold me firmly. Don't let go
I have lost my breath. I cannot feel my fingers.
I feel cold and it’s becoming so long a road to ponder
I just got wed last week with moments of wonder
Take me away
I must meet my personal physician.
He treats me like an experienced musician.
I am ready to go meet my physician
My legs are trembling, my feet are numb
I can no longer feel my toes
How will I do my chores?
Why am I trembling?
Am seeing things
What is this that I am seeing?
Oh no, I think these are hallucinations
Hope am not going insane
Why am I like a roller coaster?
So much is coming back to me from memory lane
My heart cannot hold it
I can’t stand the palpitations
Why am I sweating and feeling so hot?
Moments ago I just felt cold
I can't breathe
Take me away
I lay steadfast but my eyes are not seeing
What is happening to me?
Oh no. Why is this happening?
Akkkkkschew.
This sneeze hurts. My neck is in pain
Why do I feel mundane?
This never happens to me ever
Why am I feeling like I am in chains?
Explain to me why my mind feels like a speeding train.
Again and Again I sneeze but yet I can’t breathe
I feel so much pain
I don’t want to fall beneath
No, not again. I will not be frail again.
I refuse to be slain.
I hear sirens
That sounds like an ambulance
I guess they have come.
Take me away
Get me in
Fit me in
I have heard the ambulance
I think I see a resemblance
Corona or is it Covid 19 it may be.
Take me away
Let me in
I want to see my physician
He knows I am a baroness
One who is blameless
Treat me and give me your best attention
Mr. Physician, please help me release the tension
I need a quick Intervention
Am sure of your precise execution
I will calm down when you give me an explanation
My life has to return to perfection
I don’t want to feel like I have hypertension
I have been restless, tired and in pain all week
I have never felt like this before, mostly weak
Akkkkkschew. Akkkkkschew. Akkkkkschew.
