All I Perceive To Know

Tabitha J. Bryson 1973 (Indianapolis, Indiana)

Deep within fields of gold
Lost among the barley and rye
Is where I found, then lost my soul
Crossing over the Bridge of Sighs.
For there you were one day
A vision blinding my tired eyes
I scarcely overlooked your wisdom
Of a love that cannot be denied.
Dreams swirled about me then
Tattered voices softly cried
Gone are they and lost forever
'Neath a stellar kiss, goodbye.
Softly your heart enfolds me
Valleys of tears no longer cry
Beautiful sunsets and glorious moonbeams
Where love no longer hides.
Wonderful melody adrift on the wind
While the clover leaves grow
A warm summer scent, soft and delicate
But your love is all I know.
