Rescue Me

Tabitha J. Bryson 1973 (Indianapolis, Indiana)

Please love me
take my hand
guide me away
from who I am.
Rescue me from the hurt
relieve me from the sorrow
help me to know that there is peace
in the dawning of tomorrow.
Drown the negativity
with love & reassurance
prove to me that life
really is worth it.
Hold me in warm comfort
sing me a soothing lullaby
caress my face
help these tears to dry.
Show me that love
does exist in this world
shower me with tenderness
and watch our love unfurl.
Help all this hurt
to finally go away
and I promise to do my best
to let love stay.

This is so very beautiful and so very aching and yearning and tender. You are an amazingly talented writer.
