Reality

with wisdom we wrestle with right & wrong
the nature of a blessing in disguise

in our garden is where we belong
but cannot return until we realize

the light that we seek comes not from the sun
divine illumination is the source

compassion and goodness we often shun
building darkness into a greater force

who among us talks with God all the time
appreciating each moment with love?

for that is the ladder that we must climb
and permeate peace with heaven above
