Analysis of The Feeling of Tears

The Feeling of Tears:

So gently a tear can erupt and form,

They travel in packs,

They know when the time comes,

To so sudden appear,

In moments of sadness,

A drop in the corner,

Of those beautiful eyes,

Then a second,

You can no longer disguise,

The emotions that are playing,

Like a dance on your cheek,

Glistening so softly,

In a artistic streak,

They mix in with color,

They can happen so slowly,

Or in a hurricane'd rush,

But no matter the sequence,

There's beauty behind,

The raging rainstorm,

That falls from your eyes,

For they give to you brilliance,

That show through your heart,

The longing for acceptance,

Or the hurt of a sudden part,

But whatever the reason,

There's no way over,

Crying is a lesson,

That we all,

Must go through,

It doesn't mean weakness,

It isn't bias to who,

Everyone will in someway,

Cry just the same way as you,

So take in the moment,

Give justice it's place,

Let those tears have their moment,

Let the emotion embrace,

Because once it is over,

You will feel so refined,

Cause the feeling of tears,

Is but one of a kind.

Dustin Atwood

My name is Dustin, I am 29 but it feels as if I am a lot older by due of wear and tear.I credit this, to the way I write.I discovered Poetry, when I was 16 in high school. It was a way for me, to put my emotions on paper and get then out of my head. Time went on, and I discovered that using poetry, was in a sense my release from this world. I have struggled with sexuality, loss, depression, anxiety, self doubt, you will find these things in my writing.I like to think my writing is my souls dialogue. It is a voice that maybe the outside me, would never have the courage to say.It is things that have happened that many don't know, a sort of secret side of me. I hope you enjoy! more…
