Analysis of Sweet Mary's And God's Plan

As I pulled into a dirt drive on a Saturday afternoon

Never did I expect a man in camo my heart he would consume

You stood tall like a white oak extended your tan hand

As I reached out to you for that first touch the magic began

When you weren’t looking my way I would steal a glance

I searched for every detail thinking there may not be another chance

Your walk your voice the way you carried yourself I watched

Hanging onto your every word wondering what were your thoughts

We drove through the woods in hopes of seeing a marvelous wonder

Birds sang sweetly in the trees but my thoughts crashed like thunder

I climbed into my stand and positioned myself for a kill

But my thoughts kept floating up asking is this God’s will

I took several deep breaths looking around at all of God’s creation

Unconsciously deciding to let me heart flow with no explanation

I often think back to that first Saturday when I shook your tan hand

Our first step together, following sweet Mary’s and God’s plan

This is respectfully dedicated to Mary, Scott's wife of 20 years that passed away several years ago after a battle with cancer. The depth of her love was and yes is so amazing that she told Scott she would send him someone to share his life with. Her love was so strong, and knew what a wonderful man she was leaving, she openly promised him love after her departure. We met through a mutual friend, get this deer hunting. Yes, there is a God, and his helping angel is Sweet Mary.

God has blessed me in so many ways and I want to share with others how amazing he is and the grace that he wants to bestow on others. I have been writing since I was a little girl, it has always helped me to express myself whether it was during a storm or a victory in my life.
