Analysis of Looking For 'Others', We Found 'Ours'

More thresholds than portals beckon now
Betwixt the lines drawn in the shifting sand,
Seems we've stalled in our tracks somehow
Retracing our foot-prints to where we stand.

Might be wise to recruit a trust-worthy friend
To confide our doubts at these many doors,
Behind one of which is the solace we intend
To quench sojourn's thirst, in comfort amore.

Ah, but in the casual sport of companionship
We will find the blistered feet by n' by bathed,
In studious empathy we afford in closer grips
Sights out there, but nearby is who we craved.

Tracy Bollinger

Always liked to write and have written poems periodically over the years. I've never shared them withanyone except for immediate family. Decided to take the plunge and put some out 'there'. But bearwith me, I don't really know what I'm doing. This is therapy of sorts and I hope to let go of the need to rhyme. It's a mental condition. I recently found out my grandmother used to rhyme all herletters to anyone. Go figure. I hope you all enjoy my ranting! I do like what I've seen other's post. more…
