Analysis of If I had Wings
If I had wings I would fly
Up so very high,
Higher than the eagle soars
And count the mountains and valleys by scores.
If I had wings I would fly
Away and say good-bye
To the world I know
And let the wind take me wherever it may blow.
If I had wings to fly
I would sing and not be shy,
For only the clouds would hear
My song of joy so sincere.
If I had wings I would fly
All over the beautiful sky,
Higher than the eagle can
For my entire lifespan.
