Fear

Icicles seem to grip my heart
I shake from head to toe.
Sense and reason wish to depart
Before this awful foe.
My knees beneath me buckle,
My mind is in despair.
I hear my enemy chuckle
As I bow my head in prayer.
"Can God save you now? No!"
He does triumphantly shout.
"Oh, Lord Jesus, help me!"
Sweet Peace begins to flow
My whole body throughout
Destroying my awful enemy!
Can Satan hold me down?
Not when God my heart does crown.
