I awake each morning to balladic bird
I have heard the chortle
For many a word
I awake each morning to pacific prayer
I have felt the bolster
For many a care
I awake each morning to virginal start
I have leaped the chasm
For many a heart
I awake each morning to ambitious man
I have known the talent
For many a plan
I awake each morning to infinite scope
I have sired the vision
For many a hope
