Eloquent, insightful and charming

That was my first vote I got on this site! I wrote that about 15 minutes after one of my first few sparring bouts. I'm two years and change into boxing. In that particular sesh, I went up against someone who was not messing around, he got me really good a few times. I came really close to crying right there in the gym afterwards, it was really emotional. I found out afterwards how much I hold back my power when the moment really matters, it was then I grabbed my phone and typed this one up. Perhaps, at a different time, I would vote for another poem, a longer more arranged poem. But this one right now rings the most true in my heart, it echoes through the darker parts of it. I really love it. more »

The ending hit me like a train of truth. This poem lingers.

Emily Dickinson and Khalil Gibran are two that come to mind. I just ordered Edgar Allen Poe complete works. I hear he's not bad either tehehe

It was between this and another poem. I voted for the other. This is a profound poem with notes of intrinsic insight.

It was worded very well. I had many pinned poems but this one resonated the deepest.

I did read that poem! It is quite similar to mine and it's a fun read too

It is the closest to perfect out the bunch. The imagery carries me from beginning to end without a hiccup.

I like this poem because it has two points of view. Combining both point of views gives the reader everything he or she needs to know about balance.

The way this poem is worded, I am brought to realize that nothing brings absolute value to something.
