Get right

Soul melting away like ice.
I'm in hell, not paradise.
Dying once will suffice,
But some people die twice.
My depression is a heavy weight.
It knocked me into a frozen state.
Reality looks twisted, not straight.
Been stuck in between...

Troubled twenties

So far, my twenties have been an exhausting hell.
All because the pandemic had its way with me.
From small slashes, mighty oaks fall. And I fell.
With a tectonic shift, my world ceased to be.
What happened? Is this real? I cannot tell.
My soul...

Am I?

I am a breeze that does not know how kind it is.

Devoured by an evil monster the size of a humpback.
It took my will and...

I can relate to yourself a lot. I share these same sentiments, but towards my father not my mother though.

I chose this pome because although it is very depressing and has a hopeless feel to it, I viewed it as being just as inspirational and uplifting.

Being a rainbow baby myself, I couldn't help but think of my own parents while reading this poem. It accurately portrays, I believe, the emotions and thoughts one has after going through such an unexplainably devastating event. I was at the cusp of tearing up as I was reading. It really hit home for me.
