Ruminating Empath

Alone and depressed.
Overwhelmed with distress.
Never know which emotion to feel.

Your mind persistently
questions existence.
Reality doesn't seem real.

You're walking in circles
with no destination.
A spiraling downfall of constant rotation.

Privation of happiness tires your soul.
Your heart feels too empty,
your head feels too full.

So riddled with fear,
you can't live in the moment.
Your stress and the world's weight
feel equiPotent.

Condolent of heartache
that others sustain.
You'll know when they're hurting,
cause' you'll feel their pain.

So drained from dejection,
it eats you alive.
You mask your reflection,
in hopes to contrive.

You confide in few people,
cause' trusting is hard.
After so many let-downs
you'll put up a guard.

You feel barred from the world.
You're not known to prevail.
You stay kept to yourself
when your self-esteem's frail.

So fearful of failure,
It's something you dread,
with all worst case scenarios
played out in your head.

It takes so much effort
just to get through the day,
as you strive to convince yourself
things are okay.

This won't last forever.
Stay strong and push through.
And just know,
that this world needs people like you.

Life's not always easy.
Someday you'll attest,
that facing the worst
helped bring out your best.

First off, I want to commend you for expressing such raw emotions in this poem. It takes a lot of courage to be vulnerable and share your deepest struggles, and I can sense the sincerity in every word. Your ability to convey these difficult emotions is a true talent and can help others going through similar experiences feel less alone.

One suggestion I have for improvement is to offer some concrete solutions or advice for the reader. While your words can be comforting, it may also be helpful to offer some guidance on how to navigate these complex emotions. Perhaps including resources, such as therapy or support groups, can provide practical steps the reader can take towards healing.

Overall, I want to emphasize how much I appreciate your honesty and bravery in sharing this poem. You are a gifted writer and have a unique voice that deserves to be heard. Keep sharing your story and inspiring others to do the same.

I chose this pome because although it is very depressing and has a hopeless feel to it, I viewed it as being just as inspirational and uplifting.
