    It is not Shelly's personal life or activities to be impressed with but his poetry that stands apart as rich, visionary, moving.

      poetry must issue in a heartfelt process. His heart was bold and inquisitive, but it issued either bitter fluids or hypocrisy. Compare the outflow with that of Longfellow or James Whitcomb Riley… Douglas Blair

    If I am to read the film accounts correctly, or the writings of wife Mary Shelley, Percy was a womanizer, godless, shiftless with money, dishonest. Something far outside his ken must have birthed Ozymandias and Ode to a Skylark…Douglas Blair…note that Mary Shelley wrote the story Frankenstein.
