Hushed under sky's mantle,
beasts, birds, golden stalks,
meadows and hills waiting,
ripe for harvest, Creation calls.

Blowing and sifting the wheat from the chaff,
forged in Truth's furnace, the sickle sways,
the weed burns, the wheat...

Sunset in Summer
is filled with exotic wonder.
Watching it, carries me
on celestial wings far and above.
And the sun lingers,
as if in regret-- to unwillingly set.

In Fall hues are dramatic,
blue, yellow, purple and gray,
and the clouds...

Who Has Believed?

"Who has believed our report?"
Who is listening to the voice of truth--
restoring wholeness, making anew,
raising the dead hope from the shadowy tomb?
Who has awakened to His presence and might,
To I AM who's near, within and inside?

"And to...

Eternally is God's law established,
Moses wrote it
Christ fulfilled it.
Truth and grace embracing man,
overcoming sin and death,
Life empowers him to be
pure, whole, forever...

No more does darkness creep,
reigns not a gloom in heart
but light and heaven's glory
illuminate a path.

In Spring the buds await
the sun's first golden glow,
may we at Easter celebrate
resurrection, new-born hope.

A full abundant life,...

This poem is like a Psalm, a song of rebirth or discovery of one's own real identity. Very subtle yet powerful!! A true delight to read. Bravo!

A re-assuring promise from a source other than the Bible. Thank you for your comment. And yes, Heb. 4:12 is what the poem is about. God bless

This poem speaks in a deepest way to every "invisible child" including myself.
It takes a lot of courage in adulthood not only to admit that we have been "small" in the eyes of our parents but to decide to "grow" in our own eyes.
I loved the clarity and simplicity of your words, powerful, direct , light in the darkness. Thank you .

Thank you for taking the time to really read this poem. Your comment is insightful and made me think... again. I wrestle daily on my spiritual walk, and your review tells me that if what comes out of it stirs other poets... it's worth the struggle. Thank you

This is deeply heart-felt with powerful imagery. "Like the blood in my veins", "to bring a life that's almost blue" How fluently can these emotions be expressed? Great piece of poetry!

This poem is heart-breaking but I could not stop reading it. Your imagery is stunning, the emotions, raw... A subject very difficult to talk or write about , but you did it in one breath. Very impressive work.
