Dr Charles Pinto

Is it true that a doctor of the mind
Knows the real you
but is still very kind
Is it true that a generation
of medical students
now in every nation
Chose Psychiatry too
by just looking at you

From Peon to Prince
You saw people the same
Arrogance made you wince
Hierarchy was so lame
Walking the halls of Nair
with everyone knowing your name

Can a great teacher be the best student ever
Can those memories you create
remain in them forever
Can you never stop learning
not care how much your earning
Turn your back on knowledge, never.

Shakespeare said in jest
the evil men do lives after them
Well here is one of our best
and when at the very end
you have hardly any enemy
but everyones a friend
Then you know you can rest
For you have topped the last test

So Dear Doctor, Uncle fare thee well
Long may your values live
Long we your stories tell
May a thousand doctors
be launched from the foundation you gave
And long may your research
Continue with patients to save
