~ All For The Father ~

There she sat, in solitude again
Never in company of a single friend
Scratched her hand to her head
She wondered, if she was dying instead
What could this loneliness be felt,
and how do you describe what to her, quite so real...
Like stone, she dreaded she'd be tossed in the sea to drown
Not will she be missed, but never found
Like a ship filling with water to sink,
how do you fix a hole that leaks...
Feeling flush with thoughts of emptiness
Where does she pick up the pieces
to glue them tightly amiss...
None, will be the same emotion ever
happily once more...
For they found her dead, and washed
upon the shore
Yes, it did prey upon her mother, so dear
It caused lots of heartache, wonder and fear
Much sorrow would be for naught
For the father is what she sought

Yvonne Sensing

I've been writing since I was a kid...I enjoy putting thoughts onto paper it's like clearing out my mind. I'm not saying I'm good, but I try. Still I write, but the thoughts in my head get jumbled and it all comes out wrong. I know what I want to say, I hope it comes out that way. Anyway, I still write maybe to leave a little piece of me behind. Not here to cause trouble or be a hero. I am a kind person with a big heart and I only do what makes me feel good. Poetry happens to make me very happy and joyful. Sharing my most inner thoughts makes me a target it seems, with folks that don't like me. I assure I am not a hater, but I will stand up for myself for what's right and true. This site has made me feel like were all family and here for each other not a place to bicker and fight among us, but to enjoy each others work with respect and love. Please understand I am not here to cause problems, I am here for the same reasons you are. more…
