~ Coming Undone ~

I walk through a desert of snow,
is it the cold of my heart
that's froze?
I run through a forest of seas,
is it me that's drowning,
or this a dream?
I fly through a sky of night,
is it my eyes that are blind,
or all in my mind?
I stand up to my knees in mud,
can't move
 sinking
 slow,
is it that what I need
 to let go?
I sit for what seems
 like hours,
but only seconds
 have past.
I wonder why the world
 is uncovering
my mask...
I move toward the mirror,
I look at my face
I know it's still me,
but my feelings
have been
erased
I am numb,
I walk through stones,
I cross the other side
of hell
 alone
I've learned, all I've been through
 is all that I know
All I know, is what I've been through
Don't know how, to open my wings
I wish to see the angels,
of this my
dreams

Yvonne Sensing

I've been writing since I was a kid...I enjoy putting thoughts onto paper it's like clearing out my mind. I'm not saying I'm good, but I try. Still I write, but the thoughts in my head get jumbled and it all comes out wrong. I know what I want to say, I hope it comes out that way. Anyway, I still write maybe to leave a little piece of me behind. Not here to cause trouble or be a hero. I am a kind person with a big heart and I only do what makes me feel good. Poetry happens to make me very happy and joyful. Sharing my most inner thoughts makes me a target it seems, with folks that don't like me. I assure I am not a hater, but I will stand up for myself for what's right and true. This site has made me feel like were all family and here for each other not a place to bicker and fight among us, but to enjoy each others work with respect and love. Please understand I am not here to cause problems, I am here for the same reasons you are. more…
