Once in a while I've noticed how bluish skies turn dreary.
And the bluish of blue, turns the dreary skies to a blushing dawn.
I've noticed how the nights of stars burning to earth with fury.
And the fury of the rush leaves a trail of light to pure lust.

Once in a while I've noticed the heavens peeking open.
And the one brilliant light is without words, but its intense.
I've noticed how the radiant beams leaves me energy and hoping .
And the burning inside, I wish I could see how it all makes sense.

Once in a while I've noticed how I think, and it's all I need to know.
And the thoughts I have, are the thoughts I wish I knew.
I've noticed how my mind wonders about the questions to, and fro.
And I want to put it all together, and bring all my wishes true.

Once in a while I've noticed things can't always go my way.
And no matter what color the world is, I have a choice to follow along.
I've noticed my own little spot on this earth is okay, and that's where I'll stay. And I don't know what is to come my way, but I'll sing my own song.

Once in a while I capture a glimpse of who I really could be.
I'm delighted and at peace in my own self, so far at least.
I've noticed I have my own part of heaven at my feet.
And I'm happy my life takes me to explore the depths of me.

Yvonne Sensing

I've been writing since I was a kid...I enjoy putting thoughts onto paper it's like clearing out my mind. I'm not saying I'm good, but I try. Still I write, but the thoughts in my head get jumbled and it all comes out wrong. I know what I want to say, I hope it comes out that way. Anyway, I still write maybe to leave a little piece of me behind. Not here to cause trouble or be a hero. I am a kind person with a big heart and I only do what makes me feel good. Poetry happens to make me very happy and joyful. Sharing my most inner thoughts makes me a target it seems, with folks that don't like me. I assure I am not a hater, but I will stand up for myself for what's right and true. This site has made me feel like were all family and here for each other not a place to bicker and fight among us, but to enjoy each others work with respect and love. Please understand I am not here to cause problems, I am here for the same reasons you are. more…
