Unexplained Sadness

There is no rhyme or reason
Sometimes you don't know why.
You have an overwhelming urge
To just break down and cry.

No one has done you wrong
You haven't gotten hurt.
But you have a heavy heart
Feel like an introvert.

People try to fix it
They feel the need to cheer you.
But maybe all you need is time
To keep from feeling blue.

Maybe you're just tired
Or run down from your job.
Maybe you're just overdue
For one heart-cleansing sob.

You can't find an answer
Sometimes one isn't due.
You just need to get through it
To get back to being you.
