Addictions

Addictions are a dangerous thing,
They consume all your time.
You can't think of anything else,
There is no reason or rhyme.

Whether it's a real good singer,
Or a yummy piece of food.
You just can't get enough of it,
No matter what your mood.

You gotta have it; you need more,
No one understands,
They sit there, passing judgments,
And making harsh demands.

"Why can't you just let it go?"
They say with so much strife.
"Find something else to do,
And for God's sake, get a life."

But you just don't care what they think.
If you really love it, then you must
Put your entire heart into it
And ignore their disgust.
