To the Light Giver

I've forgotten Sparta, and Athens too has flown
There is now no solace, there is now no home.
Divided by a moment, lightning in the sky
They have clipped my wings, and now I cannot fly
I wonder where does love, hide its steel reserves
How futile is a mind, when it cannot serve
Powerless unknowing, darkness knows no bounds
I have lost my very self like and echoing sound
You're drifting into shadow, but I'll find away
To pull you from the fires, even if it takes
More than I am now, and all I used to be
Love; it knows no prison for the cause is free
Strength is hard behind me, wisdoms gone to sleep
And for this very reason, I write the words I weep.
