The Trail

Twisting and turning like a snake,
I slither, across great landscapes and lush forests
full of thorns and ripe berries.
I have heard the willows weeping
and the great breath of the sky.
Seen electric rivers reflecting myself.

Time for little bird to leave the nest
never to look back.
Time to be the wind,
flowing like silent blizzard.
Time.

Time takes me out
on a walk.
Takes me to let it all out,
all that I've collected.
Beaming like a beacon

All that I am
is all that is,
recieved and projected
in an empty cinema.
I want to step out of myself
to see without eyes,
this greatness from a higher ground.

But just as I seem to be leaping,
I become a sparrow.
Rekindled, winds caressing my dark brown feathers,
we play for a while - me and the wind -
until the setting sun tells me it's time for sleep

So I spin around without a goal but following a trail,
set before me by myself - looking for today.

david holmberg

I'm a Swedish artist with many fields of interest. My poems are often about spirituality, philosophy, love, emotions and sometimes they are even a tad nonsensical :)I have a history of depression and alot of reflection about my self, conciousness and the world. I am introverted, honest and love to delve into the different realms of art and spirituality! My poetry is very personal and I never try to mimic any other poets. While I haven't explored the stilistical forms of poetry so much I try to work with expression and painting a picture, try to keep it as free as possible. Although I might try out different forms in the future should I feel to. Aaaanyways welcome to my page, hope you enjoy yourself! Any feedback or just spontaneous reactions are much appreciated! :-) more…
