The Aroma From Your Perfume

back then, i was too afraid
to tell you how i felt
and i never really saw
through so much hell
a photograph that reminds me
of you sits on my shelf
constantly thinking about
the bad hand i was dealt
i was on a ladder going
nowhere and then i fell

in acoma..in acoma...a deep deep sleep
in acoma..in acoma...a deep deep sleep
when the aroma from your perfume
woke me up in the hospital room

i gazed into your spacious eyes
and amazement began to lift me up
could not believe what i was seeing
but i did not hesitate, it had to be love
i smiled at you and you smiled back
and at that moment, all we had was trust
i cant believe you came back for me
you could of left me in the dust
oh how i've longed for your touch
and you granted me this wish, you gave me a kiss and a hug

in tacoma...in tacoma...a love story...a love story
in tacoma...in tacoma...a love story...a love story
every beginning has an ending
and i think you know very well where this is heading

and through all the years of suffering
all alone with my mental health
remembering all the times i spent
throwing pennies into the wishing well
you were the only one with the key
to unlock this mystery of a cell
now when i look at you, i see
everything i love about myself
now i'm walking by all of these churches
constantly being reminded of wedding bells

in aurora...in aurora...where we got married, we got bloody married
in aurora...in aurora...where we got married, we got bloody married
soon we will be in hawaii on our honeymoon...our honeymoon, honey
soon we will be in hawaii on our honeymoon...our honeymoon, honey
