Morning Sickness

birds are chirping outside
but theres silence
on the inside
and its broken
by idol chatter
coming from the hallways

the clock is ticking
the faucet is leaking
the radiator is making
strange noises again
and my upstairs neighbor
bed is creaking once again

music from A.M radio
always gets me
feeling nostalgic
that makes me remember
i always forget
to pick up that
whatchamacallit

hitting the snooze button
on my alarm clock
for the fifteenth time
i hear footsteps
coming from above
and i hear that some
like it rough

i hear noises coming
from the other side
of the wall
and i'm getting
a little paranoid
i hear voices coming
from the tv screen
and i think i'm
f*ck*ng trapped
inside a paper box
and no one can
hear me scream

the clock is ticking
the faucet is leaking
the radiator is making
strange noises
and my downstairs neighbor
bed is creaking once again

music from A.M radio
always gets me
feeling nostalgic
that makes me remember
i always forget
to pick up that
thingamajig

hitting the snooze button
on my alarm clock
for the fiftieth time
i hear footsteps
coming from above
and i hear that some
people just won't shut up

my thoughts are beginning
to sound the same
my thoughts are beginning
to sound insane
my thoughts are beginning
to sound the same
my thoughts are beginning
to sound insane
