Stolen Jule

As I look back on our friendship years,
I cannot help but to shed a few tears.
How could I be so blind as to not see,
What I had always wanted was now before me.
How could my mind not know what my heart knew to be true,
How did I go through life without a single clue?
But now that I see, is it to late,
To have the heart of my one true fate?
Was I that slow to comprehend or understand,
The boy I met who became a man.
Would things have changed or stayed the same,
If I had known the truth before it came?
And though we cannot go back to who we were,
Has the shine really vanished?
Was I the one so cruel?
To become his stolen Jule.
