Without You Here

My days are so lonely without you here,
I miss you always being there.
My tears fall every single day,
There is so much I long to say.
Instead I'm left alone with the past,
Wondering how long will this pain last?
My anger swells with each teardrop,
My silent screams never stop.

Years have past since you were stolen
and yet my heart still feels so broken
I look to the heavens with quiet despair
My tears fall as I whisper a prayer
Wishing with all my might that you were still here
and wondering why I am living this nightmare

This isn't how it was suppose to be,
My heart and mind cry out angrily.
Where are you, where is my friend?
This isn't the way it's suppose to end.
What happened to living side by side,
and watching the rhythm of the tide?
Where are the grandchildren playing at our feet?
Where are the cool drinks to chase away the heat?

Instead I sit here adrift in a sea of pain,
Knowing each day will always be the same.
Broken dreams to keep me awake,
Endless sleepless nights as my heart breaks.
My days are so lonely without you here,
I will miss you always being there.....
