Learn to Survive

Struggle to the surface
gasping for air
ripped down by waves of woes
that slam you to the floor.
The things that you want
and the things that you see
don't seem the same
as they used to be.
Being lost for so long melts your mind
and makes lefts into rights.
All the fight you have
goes to waste
until you give up
and drown in the ocean you create.
So call a storm to break the tide;
self-destruction to stay alive.
Throw yourself into the torrent;
the vicious winds and the trembling storm.
It might not all make sense,
but its the way to survive
when all options have exhausted.
Starvation breaks the binds
that delusion holds on your mind.
Withstand the storm of doubt and destruction
you're bound to come out alive.
The withdrawal burns
and you'll want to give in
to the screams you feel inside,
but don't quit
make the best of it.
Have faith and hold the anchor
that will keep you from drifting.
Take joy from all that you can,
for happiness can be pulled from the driest of dirt,
and from the darkest twilight.
