Get up cowboy

They watched him fall and hit the ground hard.
Get up cowboy, don't let them see you hurt and tired.
For in the rodeo arena you never feel pain.
You cannot show it in your quest for fortune and fame.

Shakily the cowboy rises to his feet.
A stronger fellow you will never meet.
He looks to the judges to see his score.
And smiles as it's even better than he had hopes for.

With head held high he walks behind the gate.
Then bending down on a knee he does take.
A short prayer he prays to his Lord above.
He thanks him for another day doing the things he loves.
