Fire

I have a burning fire in my soul.
In its embers I am not whole.
The fire wants to live and breathe.
My anger inside sits and seethes.

To turn it loose would be cruel.
I wood abuse someone like a fool.
To feel their blood on my hands.
While I listened to my favorite band,

That thought makes the fire burn hot.
Though I know I really should not.
I know life is not some game.
But I play it in order to remain sane.
