empty pocket

my pocket is empty
and I, am nothing less
nothing more
I am the wind
empty
I, soar and float
enter the river
twist and turn
and my pocket is empty
evaporate
to float in the sky again
I, transform
into a fish
I grow
and am eaten
I am the first and last rays of the sun
a great clockwork
and my pocket is empty
so when I light up the world
color the skies
don't ask me for anything
else
but marvel
because my pocket's empty
but my soul is full

david holmberg

I'm a Swedish artist with many fields of interest. My poems are often about spirituality, philosophy, love, emotions and sometimes they are even a tad nonsensical :)I have a history of depression and alot of reflection about my self, conciousness and the world. I am introverted, honest and love to delve into the different realms of art and spirituality! My poetry is very personal and I never try to mimic any other poets. While I haven't explored the stilistical forms of poetry so much I try to work with expression and painting a picture, try to keep it as free as possible. Although I might try out different forms in the future should I feel to. Aaaanyways welcome to my page, hope you enjoy yourself! Any feedback or just spontaneous reactions are much appreciated! :-) more…
