El espejo roto

The poet is Gabriel's broken mirror.
The dark and the light of reality
Filters through her with no remorse.
We create and break truths in fever.
You are the warped reflection's vitality,
The voice of life and death in the Universe,
The speaker of words innocent and perverse.
She writes with the desire to inspire,
Or simply to chill an interior fire.
They survive on the force of observation,
Teaching lessons that he never learned,
Taking warmth from flames that never burned.
We feel pleasures we never touched.
I believe in a truth I would never trust.
Poets are the broken mirror of inspiration.
