A Hero

Outside I heard quite a lot of sound.
There was a group of folks on the ground.
They were all looking up in the sky.
I could not help but wonder why.

I walked out and looked up to see.
And up in the oak was a little kitty.
Up high in the tree I did climb.
Then suddenly I slipped on some slime.

On a little branch I got caught.
And it did indeed rip my shorts off.
What a great hero I was going to be.
But I ended up naked in a tree!
